2 killed in Faridpur road accident

At least two people were killed and two others injured when a bus hit a ‘Nosimon’(human hauler) on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Wednesday morning.

The deceased are Kawsar Hossain, 65, and Fatik Malo, 50. Both hailed from Gharua union of Bhanga upazila.

According to witnesses and police, a speeding local bus hit the human hauler in the area around 8:15am, killing both Kawsar and Fatik on the spot, and injuring two others.

The injured were rushed to the local upazila health complex.

Police seized the bus, but its driver managed to flee the scene, said Bhanga highway police officer in-charge Ezazul Islam.
