3 ‘terrorists’ arrested in Jessore
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police in separate drives arrested three alleged terrorists from separate places in Jessore town early Wednesday.
The arrestees were identified as Yeasir Arafat alias Boma Arafat, son of Liton Hossain, Tablet Sohel, son of late Manik Munsi, and Apon alias Shahi, son of Rahim Ali, all residents of Mollapara Amtala of the town, reports UNB news agency.
Police said tipped off, a team of Kotwali Model police station led by its sub-inspector Amir Hossain, conducted a drive in Bandari Beel Mathpara area and arrested Boma Arafat around 12.30am.
The law enforcer also recovered one locally-made pistol and one round of bullet from his possession.
In another drive, RAB members arrested Tablet Sohel and Apon alias Shahi from Bejpara TB Clinic area of the town around 1.30am.
The arrestees were wanted in several cases including those for arms, robbery and snatching, police said.
