68 new dengue cases reported
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), another 68 dengue patients have been hospitalised across country in 24 hours till Friday morning.
Among them, 67 were hospitalised in Dhaka while only one new patient was hospitalized outside of the capital, reports UNB.
As many as 541 dengue patients, including 441 in the capital, are currently undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country.
On Sunday, this year's death toll from the mosquito-borne viral disease rose to 19 with one more death reported from Dhaka.
Among the total deaths, 10 were reported from Cox’s Bazar and the remaining nine from Dhaka.
On 21 June, DGHS reported the first death of the season caused by dengue. So far, DGHS has recorded 5,185 dengue cases and 4,625 recoveries this year.
