Asma Kibria passes away

Asma Kibria, wife of slain former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria, passed away at a city hospital on Monday morning, reports UNB news agency.
She was 78.
Asma Kibria, who had been suffering from cancer, breathed her last at United Hospital in Gulshan area of the city around 9:00am, said family sources.
Talking to reporters at the secretariat, state minister for post and telecommunication Tarana Halim, who is also the deceased’s niece, expressed her shock at the death and prayed for the departed soul.
