Bangladesh Book Fair in Kolkata draws huge crowd

A large number of visitors, especially the youths, visited the ninth Bangladesh Book Fair-2019 on the sixth day on Wednesday, reports news agency BSS.

The visitors of all ages thronged to different stalls and pavilions to buy new books of their favourite authors.

The ninth Bangladesh Book Fair-2019 began at Mohar Kunja in Kolkata on 1 November and will continue until 10 November.

Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Toufique said such kind of book fair will strengthen bilateral relations further between India and Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata is organising the 10-day fair in association with Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Gyan O Srijonshil Prokashok Samity.

Bangladesh foreign minister AK Abdul Momen inaugurated the fair as the chief guest with Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Toufique Hasan in the chair.

Organisers of the book fair said that Bangladesh state minister for cultural affairs KM Khalid will visit the fair on 8 November.
