Bangladeshi confirmed to have coronavirus in Singapore

A Bangladesh national along with two Singaporeans were confirmed to have the coronavirus, reports The Straits Times.

Quoting the health ministry (MOH) of the country, the TST on Sunday said, “A 71-year-old grandfather and a Bangladeshi worker are among three new coronavirus cases confirmed.”

But, the TST added, none of them have recent travel history to China.

According to the report, the 39-year-old Bangladeshi worker is now warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

The TST also read his symptoms surfaced on 1 February. He then went to a GP clinic on the following day and Changi General Hospital on 5 February.

He was confirmed to have the coronavirus on Saturday afternoon and he was later kept in quarantine at the NCID, it added.
