According to Hindu faith, goddess Durga comes down to Earth from the Heaven to establish peace, harmony by annihilating evil forces.

The traditional Bijaya Dashami procession will be brought out from Dhakeshwari temple in the capital at 3 pm on Saturday under the auspicious of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad and Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee.  The procession will march through different city streets and end on the bank of the Buriganga River before the immersion.
