Couple held with firearms in Ctg

Chittagong police held a couple with two locally made firearms in the village of East Charandwip in Boalkhali on Thursday.

Captured Jasim Uddin, 35, and Jasim's wife Sofia Begum, 30, are residents of Foiz Sawdagor Bari at of East Charandwip village.

Boalkhali police officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Shamsul Islam said, police raided the residence of Jasim Uddin around 5:00am today and arrested the duo with two locally made LG guns and 18 round cartridge.

Police are suspecting them as arms traders.

A case was filed with Boalkhali police in this connection.
