Cricketer Arafat Sunny arrested

Police on Sunday morning arrested national team cricketer Arafat Sunny in a case filed under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.

A senior police official seeking anonymity said a woman said to have a relation with the cricketer for a long time filed the case with Mohammadpur police on Saturday night. She alleged that Sunny had uploaded some of her pictures on the social media recently.

Investigation officer of the case sub-inspector Yahiya confirmed the incident. Sunny was supposed to be produced before the chief metropolitan magistrate's court around noon.
