Dhaka-Khulna train link restored after 7 hours

The train communication of Dhaka with Khulna and the country's western region restored after seven hours of suspension due to the derailment of a freight train bogie at Ullahpara station early Saturday.

A relief train then went there from Ishwardi and salvaged the derailed bogie around 9:15am, said Sayeed Iqbal, officer-in-charge of Government Railway Police (GRP), Sirajganj Bazar.

The bogie of the freight train, coming from Ishwardi, veered of the track while entering the station around 3:10am, halting train movement on the route.
