It took Dhaka more than 400 years to be the city that it is today.
 

It is a city steeped in history, a city of contrasting images.

On one hand it has roads filled with ruts and pavements unfriendly to pedestrians, and on the other hand, it has a mesmerizing magnificence. These photos speak for themselves.
