Dhaka getting busy after Eid vacation
After a nine-day Eid vacation, government, semi-government and non-government offices, including banks and financial institutions, reopened on Sunday, says news agency UNB.
Noticeable attendance of employees and officials was found at the secretariat and several government offices exchanging Eid greetings.
City streets saw relatively lower traffic as many city dwellers who have gone to their village homes for celebrating Eid are yet to return.
Most shops and shopping malls remained closed today.
The long holiday began on 1 July.
