Gallant youth like Faraaz defied fear: Nasim

Heath minister Mohammed Nasim said the evil force of 1971 and 1975 are still trying to destabilise Bangladesh.
"Some misguided youths carried out bloody attacks at Gulshan and Sholakia, but brave Bengali youth like Faraaz was not afraid. Bengalis liberated the country defying fear," the minister said.
Mohammed Nasim made the remarks at a discussion on National Mourning Day in the Dr Milon Hall of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Sunday.
“Even the Pakistani army dared not kill Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, but some Bangladeshi traitors did. The democratic and non-communal Bangladesh is the result of his struggle.” He added.
The key speaker of the discussion, professor Anisuzzaman, said, "We are totally unfamiliar with this Bangladesh, where militancy is reared. Militancy emerged in the country because we distracted from the Bangladesh that Sheikh Mujib had dreamt of."
The discussion was presided over by BSMMU vice-chancellor professor Kamrul Hasan Khan. State minister for health and family welfare Zahid Malik, Bangladesh Medical Association president Mahmud Hasan, ex-MP Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, and professor Iqbal Arsalan also spoke, among others, on the occasion.
