HC grants bail to Asif Adnan

The High Court (HC) on Tuesday granted bail to Asif Adnan, accused for his alleged involvement with extremist group Ansarullah Bangla Team.

The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Abdul Awal and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman passed the order after hearing the bail petition.

Asif's lawyer AF Hasan Arif told Prothom Alo that the allegations against his client is not lawful and there is no restriction on Asif's release after the HC clearance.

Asif was arrested on September 24, accused under Anti-terrorism Act for “conspiring to commit terrorist and militant activities”.
