How to get voting centre info

If you are a voter, you must know where your voting centre is located.

Voter centre information is now just a few clicks away as the election commission has introduced an SMS service so that you can know your voter number, name of your polling station and serial number, according to EC officials.

If you want to know the information, all you need to do is to type "PCNID or Smart Card number" and send it to "105" to receive your polling station information via a return message for anywhere in Bangladesh, they added.

If you are an NID card holder, you need to type its 17 digits and for Smart Card holders it is 10 digits. If your NID card has 13 digits, you must type your date of birth before it.

Electronic Voting Machines or EVMs will be used in all the polling stations.
