ICMAB gets new president, secy

Md Jasim Uddin Akond has been made president while Md Munirul Islam the secretary of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) for 2020.

Earlier on Friday, the council election and AGM was held at ICMA Bhaban in capital’s Nilkhet.

Abu Bakar Siddique and Md Mamunur Rashid were elected as vice-presidents and Md Ali Haider Chowdhury as treasurer of the Institute.

Prior to his new role, Jasim Uddin was elected secretary of ICMAB for four terms. He served the institute as vice president and treasurer in different terms.

Presently he is serving as comptroller of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).

Munirul Islam is currently working as head of human resources (HR) at Aristopharma Limited.
