Jamalpur ex-DC scandal: Probe body starts investigation

The probe body formed to look into the scandal of ex-Jamalpur deputy comissioner Ahmed Kabir has started investigating the incident.
A five-member body headed to Jamalpur from Dhaka and started their investigation on Thursday afternoon.
Joint secretary of cabinet division Md Mushfiqur Rahman leads the probe body.
Jamalpur DC office sources said the members of the probe body has talked with the female officer who was seen in a compromising position with the then DC in a leaked video.
Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam on Monday hinted that immediate past DC Ahmed Kabir may face harsh punishment like dismissal or demotion if he is found guilty of sexual scandal.
