Khaleda takes Iftar with editors, media heads
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday took Iftar with editors and heads of different media outlets.
Khaleda, also a former prime minister, hosted the Iftar party in honour of editors of different dailies and news agencies, radio and TV channels at a hotel in Dhaka.
Entering the Iftar party venue, Khaleda exchanged pleasantries with the invited guests moving around different tables.
The party was followed by dinner.
A munajat or special prayer was offered before the Iftar seeking peace and prosperity of the country.
The BNP chairperson took Iftar flanked by News Today editor Riaz Uddin Ahmed, Samakal editor Golam Sarowar, Sangram editor Abul Asad, senior journalists Shafique Rehman, Amanullah Kabir, New Age editor Nurul Kabir, Channel I head of news Shaikh Siraj, CEO and chief editor Boishakhi TV Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul, and Bangladesh Protidin editor Nayeem Nizam.
Besides, Holyday’s Syed Kamal Uddin, Sakaler Khabar’s Mozammel Hossain, Din Kal’s Dr Rezwan Siddiqui, Alokita Bangladesh’s Shahjahan Sarder, Amader Orthoneeti’s Nayeemul Islam Khan, Jugantar’s Saiful Alam, Dhaka Tribune’s Zafar Sobhan, Ekattur TV’s Syed Ishtiaque Reza, ntv’s Khairul Anwar, Bangla Vision’s Mostafa Firoz, Asian TV’s Nadim Quader, ATN Bangla’s JE Mamun, ATN News Munni Shaha and Desh TV’s Arif Hasan, among others, joined the Iftar party.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, senior leaders Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Tariqul Islam, Hannan Shah, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Mirza Abbas and Nazrul Islam Khan were also present.
