Minor boy drowns

A minor boy drowned in a pond in Bishampur village of Kalmakanda upazila in Netrakona district on Thursday.

Mahfuz, 7, son of a certain Ferdous Mia of the village, fell into the pond while playing on its bank in the afternoon, said Koilathi Union Parishad chairman Rubel Bhuiya, reports UNB.

Later, family members recovered his body floating in the pond, he added.
