Mohammad Sadiq new PSC chairman

Public Service Commission (PSC) member Mohammad Sadiq has been made new chairman of the commission.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Monday, reports news agency UNB.

Sadiq will replace Ekram Ahmed, whose tenure as the PSC chairman expired on 13 April.

The appointment will come into effect once he resigns as the PSC member, the notification said.

Also a former secretary, Sadiq was appointed as a PSC member on 27 October, 2014 when he was on leave preparatory to retirement.
