Mufti Izhar among 9 indicted

A court on Sunday indicted nine people, including nayeb-e-ameer of Hefajat-e-Islam Mufti Izharul Islam and his son Harun Izharul, in a case filed in connection with a bomb blast at a madrasah in October previous year.
Metropolitan Sessions judge SM Mujibur Rahman framed the charges against them and fixed 28 April for the next hearing.
On 10 February, police submitted a chargesheet against nine people, including nayeb-e-ameer of Hefajat-e-Islam Mufti Izharul Islam and his son Harun Izharul, in the case filed in connection with the madrasah blast.
The seven other accused are Abdul Hye alias Salman, Habibur Rahman, Mohammad Ishaque, Monir Hossain, Abdul Mannan, Tafsir Ahmed and Mohammad Junayed.
On 27 March, a court issued a warrant for the arrest Hefajat-e Islam nayeb-e-ameer Mufti Izharul Islam Chowdhury in the case.
Three people, including two students, were killed and several others injured in an explosion in a room of a four-storey hostel of Jamiatul Ulum Islami Madrasah at Lalkhan Bazar on 7 October , 2013.
