Nazmul Huda forms yet another party

Former minister Nazmul Huda, who formed ‘Bangladesh National Alliance’ 10 months ago, on Friday launched a political party titled ‘Trinamool BNP’, saying the Khaleda Zia-led BNP has failed to perform as a party, reports UNB.
Huda, a founding member of BNP, announced the name of his new political party at a press conference at a city hotel.
He said, “BNP has failed to perform under Begum Khaleda Zia. The party won’t be able to rebound unless a change is made in its leadership.”
He further said, “I think BNP which has crores of supporters can’t be allowed to be eliminated due to the failures of its leaders. So, BNP needs a new journey with a new name. With this objective, I have launched Trinamool BNP.”
Huda added Khaleda Zia and other BNP leaders have no moral right to lead the party for their failures to run it.
He said his newly formed party will work holding the spirit of the Liberation War with secular principles.
Asked whether he formed the new party to split BNP with the government’s instigation, Huda said, “Why should I try to break BNP? I’ll welcome those who try to help my party expand.”
Nearly 10 months back, he had also formed a political alliance titled ‘Bangladesh National Alliance’ with some small parties.
