The High court on Monday rejects the petitions for changing court and examination of a witness in 10-truck arms haul case.
Now there is no legal obstacle to deliver the verdict scheduled for 30 January, said deputy attorney general.
A High Court bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed passed the order on Monday after a hearing on the petitions.
A petition was submitted by National Security Intelligence's (NSI) former director general Md Abdur Rahim, former deputy director Laikat Hossain and former field officer Akbar Hossain Khan.
Earlier, on 13 January, Chittagong Metropolitan Special Tribunal fixed January 30 for delivering the verdict. Judge SM Mojibur Rahman fixed the date on completion of arguments by the prosecution and the defence.
Ten-truck arms were seized from two vessels at the Chittagong Urea Fertiliser Limited jetty on 1 April 2004.
The then officer-in-charge of Karnafuli police, Ahadur Rahman, filed two cases under the Special Powers Act and the Arms Act.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) submitted charge-sheets against the accused after two months.
Jamaat-e-Islami chief Matiur Rahman Nizami, former home minister Lutfozzaman Babar and former NSI DG Abdur Rahim, director Shahabuddin Ahmed, deputy director Liakat Hossain and field officer Akbar Hossain Khan, Chittagong Urea Fertiliser Ltd (CUFL) managing director Aminul Haque, former industries secretary Nurul Amin and head of the military branch of Indian separatist group United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) Paresh Barua are among the accused in the case.
