PM's military secy Zainul Abedin laid to rest

Prime minister's military secretary major general Mia Mohammad Zainul Abedin, who died in a Singapore hospital on Tuesday, was laid to eternal rest in Satkania upazila of Chattogram on Thursday, reports UNB.
He was buried at his family graveyard in Chunoti village following a namaz-e-janaza at Sirat ground of the village after Asr prayers. A large number of people, including military officials, joined the janaza.
MP from Chattogram-15 constituency Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin and Awami League president of Chattogram district (South) unit Moslem Uddin Ahmed were also present.
Before janaza, a military team gave a guard of honour to Zainul Abedin.
Zainul Abedin's first janaza was held at Dhaka cantonment's central mosque at 10am in the morning, said Rashedul Alam Khan, assistant director of Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR).
Then, his body was taken by a helicopter here for burial at 12pm.
Major general Zainul Abedin breathed his last on Tuesday at Mount Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 59.
His body was brought home on Wednesday evening and then was kept at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) mortuary.
Born on 1 January 1960 in Satkania upazila of Chattogram, major general Zainul Abedin was commissioned in the Bangladesh Army in 1980.
He had been serving as the prime minister's military secretary since 2 November 2011.
