Probe body formed over new Banani fire

A five-member probe body was formed following fire at a multi-storey building in the capital’s Banani area on Thursday night.

The fire originated on the 2nd floor of Abedin Tower, opposite to FR Tower which was devastated by fire at the beginning of this year, around 9:20pm, said officials at the Fire Service Central Control Room.

Five firefighting units, on information, rushed in and brought the fire under control around 9:40pm.

However, it was not clear what actually caused the fire.

Meanwhile, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) formed a five-member probe body to look into the fire incident.
