Rizwana seeks security

Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association (Bela) chief executive Syeda Rizwana Hasan on Friday demanded security for her family.

She said they don't feel secure despite her husband Abu Bakar Siddique's safe return.

Rizwana expressed the concern while addressing a press briefing at her Central Road residence in the capital.

Rizwana said, "Media had been with me for two days. People don't consider my husband's abduction as my personal security. Actually, I don't know how to pay your debt. Gratitude is few in this regard."

She gave thanks to prime minister, BNP chairperson, opposition leader, law enforcers, media and country people for their support.

The Bela chief executive said, "We don't want to recur this incident. Abduction can't occur in a civilised democratic country." 

Her husband Abu Bakar Siddique described various incidents from his abduction to rescue.

Rizwana's husband was abducted in Narayanganj on Wednesday.
