Ruposhi Bangla closes to reopen in 2016

Five-star hotel Ruposhi Bangla was shut down on Monday for renovation to be reopened in 2016. The hotel authorities put up a shut down notice at the main gate at about 12:00pm.
Ruposhi Bangla Hotel marketing and communication manager Sahidus Sadik formally informed the closure of the hotel to Prothom Alo.
The hotel will reopen in 2016 as 'Intercontinental' after the renovation is completed.
According to a contract signed between BSL and the hotel authorities 'Intercontinental' has already joined the hotel's management. But the hotel will be renamed after completing its renovation works.
It has been known Tk 400 crore is needed for the renewal of the 48-year old five-star hotel.
Hotel Ruposhi Bangla, established in 1966, stands over around four acres of land in capital's Shahbagh.
