SSC examinee 'commits suicide' for failure

A girl who failed in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in Brahmanbaria's Bancharampur upazila on Sunday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Mim, 15, daughter of Md Selim Miah and she appeared in the examination from Dhariarchar Haji Omar Ali High School.

Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Bancharampur police station, said Mim committed suicide at night by taking poison as she could not bear the pain of failure in the examination.

On information, police recovered her body.
