A student of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University has been suspended over a Facebook post in favour of the quota reform, reports UNB.

The suspended student is Mir Mohammad Junayed, a student of the university's Medicine department and resident of Freedom Fighter MA Hannan Hall, said a press release of the university.

The status given by the student is clearly a gross violation of article 16 of Rules Regarding General Disciple of the university as it provokes subversion and goes against university disciple, it said.

On 13 July, Junayed in his Facebook account named Mir Sabbir wrote: "Earlier, you said there would be no quota. And now you're saying that it's impossible to reform the freedom fighter quota. Is it the rule of the Quran that it cannot be changed?"
