Tulip Siddiq blessed with daughter

Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, niece of prime minister Sheikh Hasina, has been blessed with a daughter in the United Kingdom.

Tulip is the second of the three children of Shafiq Siddiq and Sheikh Rehana and granddaughter of founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"Chris Percy and I are very pleased to announce the birth of our daughter Azalea Joy Percy," Tulip made the exciting announcement in a tweet today after giving birth to a baby girl at Royal Free Hospital in London.

"Staff at @RoyalFreeNHS were absolutely amazing," read the tweet.

Tulip Rizwana Siddiq was born on 16 September 1982 at Mitcham of London in England.

In 2013, Tulip married Christian William St John Percy who is a Cambridge-educated company director and strategy consultant with a background in the British Civil Service.

In May 2015, she was elected a member of parliament from the Hampstead and Kilburn seat from Labour Party.
