UP Chairman suspended for misbehaving with magistrate

A UP chairman has been suspended for entering JDC examination centre without permission and misbehaving with a magistrate, reports UNB.

Mosharraf Hossain, chairman of Kashinagar union parishad of Chowddogram upazila in Cumilla, has been suspended for the offense.

The order was given in a notification signed by Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, deputy secretary of LGRD and cooperative ministry, on 22 October (Sunday).

According to the notification, Mosharraf Hossain disobeyed government directive by entering examination centre without permission during JDC examination 2019 at Kashinagar Alim Madrasha and also charged for misbehaving with an on-duty executive magistrate.

UP chairman Mosharraf has been suspended from his post under Local Government Act considering that the offense is against the public interest.

In this regard the accused Mosharraf said "It is just misunderstanding. I didn't misbehave with the magistrate. I will try to resolve the matter through lawyer."
