Local people said the fire broke out at around 10:10am at the cock-sheet stockpile kept in front of a house.

After being informed, a total of eight fire fighting units rushed to the spot.

The intensity of fire, however, has been reduced with the effort of firemen by filling of this report at 11:45am, said assistant director of the Narayanganj fire service and civil defence, Abdullah Al Arefin.
