Subarna Express train’s bogie catches fire

A bogie of Chittagong-bound Subarna Express train caught fire at Laksam Railway station in Cumilla on Sunday morning that delayed its departure by an hour, reports UNB.

According to witnesses, the fire broke out at 6508 no coach in the train around 9 am while the train was leaving the station.

Hearing scream of passengers, the loco master stopped the train and the fire was doused.

Later, the train left the station after one hour keeping the damaged coach at the station.

Sixty passengers of the damaged coach were shifted to other compartments.

There was no casualty in the fire incident, said Akter Hossain, train examiner of technical department of the railway station.
