AL leader dies with fever, cold in Keraniganj

A local leader of Awami League who had been suffering from fever and cold died at Keraniganj Upazila Health Complex on Monday.

The deceased is Nurul Islam Bachchu, president of Kalindi union unit Awami League.

Mir Mobarak Hossain, Upazila Health Complex officer, said Nurul Islam was admitted to the hospital with fever and sore throat on Saturday night and breathed his last around 10:00am in the morning.

The duty officer of the hospital took samples from his body for corona test at night.

A total of 294 people have so far been diagnosed with COVID-19 till Monday while nine people died from coronavirus in the district.
