Another JnU teacher contracts coronavirus

A teacher of Jagannath University has tested positive for coronavirus.

The teacher from social works department is also an assistant proctor at the university. He has been keeping himself under home quarantine since the day of Eid-ul-Fitr as he started showing COVID-19 symptoms.

Proctor of the university, Mostofa Kamal, confirmed this to Prothom Alo on Tuesday.

“His test results were received today,” Mostofa said. “The physicians asked him to remain in isolation at home as he is doing well. the members of his family are in isolation too and are doing well,” he said adding that the university authorities are ready to extend their highest cooperation to anyone from the university if tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the proctor, so far, four teachers of the university have contracted the virus. Of them, two have already recovered. The other two are also doing well, he added.
