Bangladesh reports 2 more Covid deaths, 155 new cases in 24 hrs

Bangladesh has reported two more deaths from Covid-19 in last 24 hours as of Saturday morning taking the tally to 27, 975.

During the period, 155 more people contracted the highly contagious disease taking the number of total infection to 1,575,579, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The country reported 1.15 per cent Covid-19 positive cases as 13,462 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

The health directorate said a total of 188 people recovered from the highly infectious disease in the last 24 hours, taking the number of the total recovery to 1,540,018.

Of the both patients who died in last 24 hours were in Dhaka.
