Bangladesh reports seven Covid deaths, 469 cases in 24 hrs

Bangladesh reported seven more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning, taking the tally to 27,785, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The number of detected novel coronavirus cases, according to the DGHS, rose to 1,566,296 as 469 more cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The rate of detection in the last 24 hours until 8:00am increased to 2.20 per cent from yesterday’s 1.80 per cent.

The health directorate said a total of 697 people recovered from the highly infectious disease in the last 24 hours, taking the number of the total recovery to 1,529,068.

Of the people who died in the last 24 hours, five were male and two female. Among the Covid-19 patients who died in that time, three were in Dhaka, two in Chattogram and one each in Khulna and Rangpur divisions.
