Police recover 2 bodies from Shahbagh, Paltan

The police recovered two bodies from Shahbagh and Paltan area in the capital on Friday, UNB reports.

Confirming the matter, Shahbagh police station sub-inspector (SI) Md Faruk Hossain said an unidentified body was recovered from in front of the new building of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 10:50 am on Friday. Later, the duty doctor at the emergency ward of Dhaka Medical College Hospital declared him dead.

In the other incident, Manjurul Islam, SI of Paltan police station, found a body on the footpath in front of Baitul Khair Bhaban in Purana Paltan at around 8:30 am, Friday morning.

Police retrieved the body and took him to the emergency department of DMCH, where the duty doctor declared him dead after an examination.

The deceased was identified as Sunil Roy, son of Arun Roy of Homna upazila in Cumilla.

The bodies have been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
