DGHS DG Abul Kalam Azad steps down

Director general (DG) of the health directorate Abul Kalam Azad has resigned amid severe criticism over irregularities in the country’s health sector.

The DG of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) handed over his resignation letter to the public administration ministry on Tuesday.

A source at the health ministry confirmed this to Prothom Alo.

The public administration ministry has already issued a gazette notification over Abul Kalam’s resignation.
