Evaly CEO Rassel granted bail in nine cases

The chief executive officer (CEO) of Evaly Ltd Mohammad Rassel has been granted bail in nine separate lawsuits filed against him over cheque forgery.

Dhaka chief metropolitan magistrate (CMM) court passed the order on Thursday following an appeal of the accused. Rassel’s lawyer Ahsan Habib confirmed the development to Prothom Alo.

He said many customers lodged cases at the police station and court after Rassel was arrested. As of today, he has been granted bail in 10 cases. However, he is yet to get bails in three more cases.

Recently, his wife Shamima Nasrin, chairman of Evaly, walked out of jail on bail in all lawsuits.
