Jatrabari steel plant worker succumbs to burn injuries at DMCH

A 25-year-old worker, who sustained burn injuries in an explosion at a steel plant on Tuesday night, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in the early hours of Wednesday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Md Shaheen, a steel plant worker from Jatrabari.

Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said Shaheen and two others sustained burn injuries in the explosion while melting iron at the mill in Konapara of Jatrabari on Tuesday night.

Later, they were taken to DMCH, where Shaheen succumbed to his injuries around 3:00am, he added.
