New EC secretary Jahangir Alam joins office

Newly appointed secretary Jahangir Alam joined the election commission on Wednesday.

EC additional secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath and other officials welcomed him to the commission.

He served as additional secretary at the public security division of the home ministry before being appointed as the secretary of the commission.
