Parents, daughter found dead in Kadamtali of Dhaka

Bodies of a man, his wife and the couple’s daughter were recovered from a house near Muradpur High School Road in Kadamtali of the capital city on Saturday, police said.

Two more critically injured members, including a child, of the family were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment, the law enforcement said.

The deceased are Masud Rana, 50, his wife, Mousumi Islam, 45, and their daughter Jannatul, 21. The injured are Shafiqul Islam, husband of deceased Masud Rana’s another daughter Mehjabin, and her 5-year-old daughter Marzan Tabassum.

Police detained Mehjabin in connection with the incident.

Kadamtali police station sub-inspector (SI) Abul Kalam Azad said they have been looking into the incident.
