Police arrest 64 from city, file 51 cases

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 64 persons from different parts of the city between Sunday morning and Monday morning.

A huge amount of drugs were recovered from their possession, the police said.

Additional deputy commissioner of DMP’s media and public relations division Iftekharul Islam said the police filed 51 cases against the arrested persons with different police stations of city.

A total of 2,421 yaba pills, 8 syringes, 166 grams of heroin, 395 bottles of phensedyl and 2.73 kilogram marijuana were seized from the arrested persons, said Iftekharul.
