People asked not to go Gazipur via Uttara unless emergency
People have been asked not to travel to Gazipur via Khilkhet and Uttara in the capital city unless there is an emergency.
The Uttara division traffic of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) made the request on Tuesday.
DMP’s media department said there has been inundation at potholes created on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway due to incessant rain under the imapct of cyclone Sitrang.
As a result, the movement of Gazipur-bound transport via Khilkhet and Uttara is being hampered heavily, it added.
