Covid claims three more lives in 24 hrs

Bangladesh has reported three more deaths from Covid-19 in last 24 hours as of Wednesday morning taking the tally to 27, 961.

During the period, 312 people contracted the highly contagious disease taking the number of total infection to 15, 74,948, according to the daily routine statement of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The country reported 1.49 per cent Covid-19 positive cases as 21,002 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

The health directorate said a total of 338 people recovered from the highly infectious disease in the last 24 hours, taking the number of the total recovery to 1,539,193.

Of the deaths, two are female and one male. Of them, one each died in Chattogram, Khulna and Rajshahi.
