Two Rohingyas shot dead in Ukhiya camp

Two Rohingyas were killed and another was injured Tuesday afternoon after miscreants opened fire at them in the Ukhiya Balukhali camp-13 in Cox’s Bazar.

Another person was injured in the firing which took place around 1:00 pm. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ukhiya police station, Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed about the killing.

Both the deceased were named Md Rafiq. They were residents of Camp no. 13, OC Sheikh Mohammed Ali said.

The injured person in the incident is not out of danger either. He is undergoing treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, said the OC.

Legal action in this regard is under process. Police and APBN are working to keep the situation normal in the camp, the police official added.
