BCL leader placed on remand over forgery of PMO document

A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed a staff of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) dispatch wing on a seven-day remand in a case lodged over a document forgery of the office, reports BSS.

Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Mohammad Jasim passed the order as investigation officer (IO) and Tejgaon police station inspector (acting) Shamim Ur Rashid produced Md Rubel before the court and pleaded to place him on a seven-day remand.

Four other persons including another PMO staff Fatema have already been arrested.

Fatema along with the prime accused suspended vice president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Tariqul Islam Mumin have given confessional statement in the case.

Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, director-7 of PMO, on 5 May filed the case with Tejgaon police station.
