Bullet-ridden body found in Satkhira: Police

Police recovered bullet-ridden body of a suspected criminal from Dhulihar in Satkhira sadar upazila early Friday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Ahed Ali from Tamaltala in Dhulihar.

Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of sadar police station, said acing on tip off that two groups of criminals were exchanging gunfire, a team of police went to the spot in the early hours on Friday.

Sensing presence of the law enforcement, the criminals fled the scene. Later, police recovered the body of Ahed Ali, he said.

Police claimed to have recovered one shutter gun, two rounds of bullet and a sharp weapon from the spot.

Ahed Ali was wanted in six criminal cases including that of two murders, said police.
