Police on Thursday arrested a suspect over the incident of looting and rape on a moving bus in Tangail on Tuesday.
Madhupur police station inspector (investigation) Murad Hasan said two knives and three mobile phones that were stolen from passengers were recovered from him.
The police official said Raza Mia confessed to his involvement in the robbery during primary interrogation. He drove the bus after taking control from its driver.
He said they will seek a seven-day remand from the court to interrogate him.
Madhupur police station officer in-charge Mohammad Mazharul Ameen said they arrested Raza Mia using technology. Besides, they have identified some others who were involved in the robbery.
